Last weekend was the annual Avon Heritage Festival, which is when everyone comes out to the park to celebrate Avon's rich cultural history. Or eat hot, fresh mini-donuts. Mostly I think it's about the donuts. Here are some pictures:
Apparently Avon was founded by a group of petting zoo operators, judging by the collection of farm yard animals. Emmie enjoyed petting the donkey.
The goat, on the other hand, seemed a bit scary. So we just watched it eat the grass...
Finally, we got to the mini donuts stand. Well worth the weight, if you know what I mean.
Delaney tried to figure out how exactly to convince us that she was ready for her own mini donut...
Finally, we let Emmie burn off some energy at the playground while the rest of us wondered why we ate so many donuts. Such fun :)
