Children's Museum

We took ther girls to the museum last weekend and they had a great time. Delaney even stayed awake for a good portion of the visit.

Friends Forever

A couple of weeks ago, our good friends Keith and Isabel drove all the way from Maryland to spend some time with us.  They brought their daughter Jaimee, who's two and a half, to meet Emmie for the first time.  We all had a great time and the girls really enjoyed playing together.  Here are some pictures from their visit:

Independence Day

Here are some pictures of the fun we had on the 4th of July:

First order of business: Get the girls ready to party!

Unfortunately, the group photo shoot was marred by a freak flag-poking-in-the-eye-injuring-both-Emmie-and-Delaney accident.

Luckily they recovered quickly and were excited about the fireworks show...

While we lasted long enough for the fireworks, the girls didn't fair so well - Emmie fell asleep in Daddy's arms, while Delaney slept in Mommy's arms.

Miscellaneous Mischief

We must secretly like this hot weather, because not only did we go out for Touch a Truck day, but we also barbequed this past weekend. Nothing fancy, just some chicken kabobs and corn on the cob, but everyone had a good time.

Touch-a-Truck Day

Last Saturday was "Touch-a-Truck" day at the park - plenty of fire engines, police cars and other fun vehicles to check out. We took Emmie and Laney before it got too hot and humid outside - here are some pictures of the fun:

First, since the trucks were at the park, we had to convince Emmie to actually go *away* from the play equipment. Not an easy task.

Laney took a nap while Emmie played at the playground.

Once Emmie saw the 4-wheelers, she started to understand the appeal of "Touch-a-Truck" day.
