Emerson's Best Friend

Emerson has a new best friend...Chloe! Chloe has always been a little bit weary of Emerson, but lately she has been putting up with the munchkin. Emmie is very gentle with her and absolutely loves her. Now we just have to get Tabby to be a little nicer to Emmie.

Picnic in the Park

We took Emmie to the park last weekend for a nice picnic. She had a great time eating all the food and watching some kids fly a kite. In fact she decided that she loved that kite so much that she made a run for it (to catch the kite) and daddy had to chase her across the park to catch her. Here are some pictures from our fun day!

A Most Eggs-cellent Birthday

Today was Easter, but also Emmie's second birthday. Needless to say, we had lots of fun! Here's a brief summary of the action:

The day began with a good old-fashioned Easter egg hunt.

Note to self: hide the eggs better next year...

Then came the Easter baskets - "Candy? For breakfast? Sweeeeet!"

After breakfast we got to open some presents -

Emmie got lots of cool stuff...

Later in the evening, Emmie enjoyed a beautiful birthday cake.

Mommy had to help some with the candles...

But not with the cake - Emmie has that down :)
