Splashy Time!

Since Mother Nature decided it would be fun for the weather to be about 20 degrees above normal for this time of year, we thought we should get Emmie a water toy of some sort. We decided on this splash mat thing, I guess since it required the most inflating:

Here's Emmie playing with the ring stacker. Yes, each of those had to be inflated as well (all 5 of them). The dolphin, pictured next to Emmie, also had to be inflated. Also the shade thing behind her. And the palm tree. And the slide, which didn't even make it outside, since it was too windy.

But at least Daddy got a break after inflating the whole darn thing, right? Guess again:

At least I was definitely in the shade. Except when I was inflating the toy. Which took a long time. But I'm not bitter. Especially since I had to deflate the whole thing to get it back inside. Which I also did without the benefit of shade. But I digress. Emmie had a good time, so I suppose it was worth it.

Tax-y Baby

We always wondered what Emmie would look like as a CPA...

"Ah, geez... I *told* them to use a 401(k) rollover plan!"

"Ok, so the downside is that diapers are not tax-deductible... On the plus side, well, I'm cute!"

What'chu Lookin' at?

Emmie is going in for the kill...I don't think the camera expects anything.

Emmie Egg-stravaganza

Despite Emmie being more than a year old, today is her first Easter! We thought a little Easter egg hunting would be fun, although as you can see we didn't try too hard at hiding the eggs:

Once Emmie got the hang of it (and discovered that the eggs had treats inside), she really enjoyed finding them all:

Once Emmie got all the eggs, however, the crazy Easter Bunny came around looking for revenge, and some tasty toes...

Hope you had a great Easter too :)
